Who's to say

This blog was originally intented for band news only. However, band news is rare, especially with the continuous delay of the new album. Yes, it is coming, it's just taking longer than expected, and will take even longer than I now expect. I have come to that realization.

I will occasionally post other "stuff". I don't like that word, but in this case, it seems fitting.

"Stuff" may consist of: interesting links, commentary, reviews, rants, raves, or random thoughts.

So stay tuned - I hope to post more frequently (more frequent than, say, once every 3 months, which is roughly the current pace).

Website relaunched!

Long time since a post... but still hard at work behind the scenes.... the website is back up and totally redesigned! They'll be a few tweaks here and there over the next few weeks, and once that's done, expect more new content coming your way.

Send us your art!

We'd love to see your art, and display it prominently on our website. Feel free to send us anything 'silk demise' related - photos, images, clippings, even videos - anything, and if we like it (and it's appropriate), we'll be sure to add it to the site!

Speaking of the site, it's going to be totally redesigned within the next 3 months or so. Expect it to be a little more streamlined and compact, without any messy html... At this point, we'll add any artwork you send us!

Want to remix our songs?

We're offering the track "Bound" for remix.

Download the files off our website, create, edit, remix, and then send it to us - we'd love to hear what you come up with. There's already two mixes up on the Audio page by The Metrosexuals - we're saving the third for the album.

It's not a contest, but we'll be putting some of the best mixes up on the site if that's cool with you.

"New" album: the silk demise - unlocked

the silk demise - [un]locked: a collection of unreleased material, will be available in August 2006. Check the Audio page soon for clips. The album will be a free download (with donations accepted). The tracklist is as follows:

This is a collection of tracks I wrote between 2001 and 2003 (with the exception of "Pincushion"). The tracks are more loop/sample based, as this was during my years in school when equipment and software was scarce. The first official release, in 2004, included more piano, raw vocals, and instrumental work. The upcoming release of new material is tentatively slated for release in 2007.
